I wished the Patriots did what they did to Jets yesterday in their first encounter. It is one thing being confident. But it pisses off people when someone is really arrogant without achieving anything. I would have been fine if the Saints were as cocky as the Jets. I read some sports writers support Rex Ryan’s cockiness by saying he is trying to change the Jet’s losing culture by bringing in a new attitude. Well, if he was trying to do that by pissing off rest of the teams, their coaches and fans then I think he has accomplished this. They barely go through their previous 4 games and finally ended up in the hands of a team that is peaking. I am still weary of their defense though.
Even after two years I still can’t get the 2007 super bowl out of my head though. I hope they win this one, now that they have lost a few and probably would not have the burden of going 19-0 on their shoulders.
I was a little surprised when I read that Randy Moss has been traded to the Vikings. It was not shocking though. It has been a drag for the last couple of years after the initial fireworks. I believe he still has got the talent, just disgruntled with the way things are run by coach BB.
With Wes back and the TEs stepping up, Pats may probably not miss him as much. But I think the big play phobia of the teams playing NE might be put aside, at least for now. Wes will become an easy target for the defense since there will not be two players that they need to double team.
Favre got his wish fulfilled, even if it is just for one season. One has to wait n see how that combo works out though. It is probably fitting for Randy to get back to where it all started. It will make a good story for his HoF career.
I have had enough blabbering from the NY Jets and I wish the Pats cut them to size this weekend. I agree they have a good defense but they talk too much and their offense stinks. I liked what I saw in Patriots against Bengals last week. Both their defense and offense did very well against a 2009 playoff team that is predicted to reach playoffs this year too.
So, hopefully I don’t have to hear about the Revis Island, No. 1 defense, Super Bowl so on and so forth from the Jets again next week.
Let’s go Pats!!!
As usual, it’s been a while since I blogged.
Am planning to do it on a regular basis from now on (you can call it my new year resolution)
I am hooked up to NFL these days, rather I should say I’ve become a sports junkie.
Not sure, how long this will last but it’s eating a lot of my time as I am watching the idiot box all the time.
Took some time to reflect on where I started and where I am heading the other day.
It triggered a lot of thought threads that led me all the way to my school days.
Didn’t realize that it’s been almost 15 years now.
Am trying to connect to all my old friends from school and college again.
I started off with Naveen.
It’s midnight now, will continue later.
